During the COVID pandemic, Patrick S. Noonan took the opportunity to have his sizeable vault of tape recordings digitized. In that process, he came upon the original track for his 1996 CD "Beat Noir."

"I never re-released that one on streaming or download, because I always felt that it was rushed... there were too many little flaws for me to be enthusiastic about it."

He and engineer/produced Trammell Starks got out their scalpels and carefully created a sparkling remix of "Beat Noir." This "25th Anniversary Edition" was quietly released in December 2021...

...awaiting this followup! Also amid those recordings were the unfinished bones of several OTHER tunes from the Beat Noir sessions. For "Beat Nouveau," Noonan (and Starks) completed those songs - as well as revising and rerecording several others from scratch.

The resulting album, which includes performances from Noonan's Outer Park bandmates as well as appearances from fellow members of Laurasia and a host of guests, is headed for wide release in December 2022.

The albums form an UNmatched pair, with some songs appearing in radically different versions across the two, some songs spotlighted on only one release, and others getting partial transplants of new players and sounds.
